Evaluation

Methodology

The monitoring of the conference distinguishes between two sets of stakeholders:

The general audience: composed of international participants from 4 regions ( USA, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa- Middle-East & North Africa, Sahel).

Group 1:

Volunteers among the participants fill up a Pulse Survey (Annex 1) before the screening of the video.

Group 2:

Specific target groups composed of 25 individuals (Annexe 2) to fill at the registration followed by a post-test (Annexe 3) at the final break of the conference on Friday, 4th October.

The group disaggregation has been designed to identify key stakeholders based on their country of orgin.

In total 42 participants from 5

regions to the conference responded to the surveys. (See figure 1).

The differentiated questionnaires and dissemination process seek to answer to the following logical framework.

The two-day Conference brought together representatives of institutions including relevant government and non-government agencies, international organizations. Survey Participant’s demography based on sex and religions are shown in the figures below:

 

Participants for this program came from across a variety of sectors, including non-governmental actors, academics, professionals working in the field of the protection of cultural heritage for religious communities. The survey participants were made up of 39 individuals in total, the vast majority of whom were men, between the ages of 40 and 50 years. Among the 39 international respondents,  only 1 participant was a woman.

Analysis approach

The survey combined qualitative and quantitative data.

The analysis of the quantitative data used a simple method, the open-ended questions were reviewed using a systematic approach. ( Fig.1)

  • Thematic indexation of the responses
  • Identification of association
  • Discourse Analysis

The purpose of the Initial review process is to provide a selection and identify relevant responses and suggestions shared by the participants and to provide insights on the participants’ needs for future workshops.
